Funeral services honoring and remembering Phil Dilldine, will be held 10:00a.m., Friday, June 28th, 2019 at the Faith Baptist Church in Claremore. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Thursday evening at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore.
Phil Dilldine passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the age of 27.
Phil was born March 17, 1992 in Claremore, OK, the son of Christina Shelton and Shawn Dilldine. He attended Sequoyah Schools, and was in the school band. Phil was a Christian, baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church. He was a serious student of the Bible. He owned every version of the Bible he could get and attended many churches in the area, attending multiple times a week. He loved music and playing the guitar. He was a fitness enthusiast, and took it to the extreme, attending RawBrah Retreats and other activities.
Phil was employed by the City of Claremore Parks Department, a job he looked forward to every day. He will be remembered for his love of children: he was really a big kid at heart.
Phil was preceded in death by his grandfather: Kenneth Shelton.
Phil is survived by his mother: Christina Shelton of Claremore, his father: Shawn Dildine; siblings: Sara, Jeremy and Ashley Landrum; his granny: JoAnn Shelton of Claremore; paternal grandparents: Eva and Gordon Dilldine; great-grandmother: Betty Blasingame of Nowata, OK; aunts and uncles: Rachel and David Anderson of Claremore, Kenneth and Michelle Shelton of Claremore, Lisa Shelton of Claremore, Renee Staton and Jake Williams of Siloam Springs, AR; cousins: Taylor, Joshua, Melani, Kody, Hailey, Kalob, Noah, Emma, and Jaxon; as well as a host of friends and other relatives.
