Tim Dudley

March 21, 1941 ~ July 4, 2020 (age 79)

Obituary

Elbert Simpson Dudley (Tim), age 79, passed away Saturday, July 4th with his family by his side.  He was born March 21st, 1941 to Calvin and Edna Dudley at home in the Willieo School District in Rogers County, Oklahoma.
Tim attended Willieo School as a child where in only the 3rd grade he told his mom that he was going to marry Jean Stout.  Little did they know his marriage proclamation would come true 11 years later when he married the love of his life on November 19th, 1961.
He joined the Navy in March of 1959 at the age of 17, just short of his 18th birthday.  He proudly served his country for 3 years during what was known as a “kiddie cruise” at that time.
While enlisted, Tim and Jean lived in California.  Upon his discharge from the Navy they lived in both California and Georgia before ultimately returning to Claremore, OK where they lived and raised their three girls who adored their daddy.  He was an amazing husband and daddy.
In 1973 Tim started Green Country Electric.  For 36 years he owned and operated Green Country Electric specializing in industrial electrical work.  He retired in the fall of 2009.
In his younger days he enjoyed fishing and hunting and shared that passion with his girls.  Later he developed a love for gardening with roses being his favorite and spent many hours taking care of his rose garden.  He also enjoyed travelling and visiting our great National Parks, with multiple visits to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone, along with other destinations including one trip devoted entirely to lighthouses.
Upon retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family, with many hours devoted to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  They thought their poppy hung the moon and stars and he loved them dearly.  He also enjoyed watching college softball and reading.
Tim not only served as a deacon in his church, Sageeyah Baptist Church, but was also the treasurer.  He was devoted to serving others and loved his church family.  Not only did he serve his church at home but after retirement went on two separate mission trips to Mexico.
Tim is survived by his wife, Eva Jean Dudley; daughters Sandra Tucker and Amanda Huey (husband Shane); grandsons Joshua Tucker (wife Samantha), Matthew Tucker (wife Amanda); granddaughters Samantha Huey and Shaylee Huey; great-granddaughters Harley Tucker and Harmony Tucker; siblings Bernice Kays, Raymond Dudley (wife Leona), Karen Lester (husband Steve), Kay Flatt, and Linda Houston (husband Chris); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Calvin and Edna Dudley; daughter Andrea Dudley; son-in-law Joseph Tucker; brother Larry Dudley; brothers-in-law Junior Kays, Gary Flatt, Mikey Stout, and Larry Stout.
