Stuart Andrew Youngquist, 79, passed away December 14, 2020. Stu was born in Salina, KS to Sidney Andrew and Dorothy Alberta (Lindgren) Youngquist. He was married to Karen Frances (Meisenheimer) Youngquist and raised two daughters in Tulsa, OK. Stu and Karen retired to Claremore, OK where they continued sharing nearly 50 years of marriage together. Stu loved his old cars and was an active member in the Ford V-8 Club. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne, and went on to spend a career with Dover Elevators where he was a mechanic and later Business Representative (Local 83). In retirement, Stu looked forward to every Friday when he would regularly deliver Meals on Wheels in the morning, and then would speak on the phone with his favorite brother later in the afternoon. Stu will be remembered by his extreme generosity, quick wit and humor, and passion for crossword puzzles.
Stu is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters Sara Youngquist of Royal Oak, MI and Elizabeth Youngquist of Broken Arrow, OK; sister Sharon (Youngquist) Hruda and husband Richard Hruda of Centennial, CO; brother Max Youngquist and wife Marcy of Brea, California; and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father and mother.
