Rita Ann Moffitt was born on July 20, 1946, to the late Wallace M. Gentry and Ruby M. Gentry of Holland, Indiana. She was called home on April 18, 2022, to join her parents, sister Shirley and brother James.
Rita loved her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them and was always talking about them. She loved everyone with a loving heart and soul. She loved to do arts and crafts and enjoyed painting as well. She loved to sit outside to listen to the birds, watch wildlife and just enjoy mother nature. She also enjoyed playing bingo. She loved cats.
Rita worked as an assembly engineer for Lockheed Martin and as a domestic home cleaner. She was also a farm hand taking care of animals, which she loved doing. She was also an active advocate for those with disabilities.
Rita is survived by her only child, Larry Thomas Moffit, Jr. of Claremore, OK; her only living sister: Doe S. Gentry of Los Angeles, CA; daughter-in-law: April C. Moffitt of Claremore, OK; stepdaughters: Cathy Whygle of Cordes Lakes, AZ, Sharon Rogatsage of Phoenix, AZ, Suzie Moffitt McLaughlin of Melbourne, FL, Dottie Gillen of Albuquerque, NM, and Betty Giles of Dobson, NC; grandchildren: Brittany Jackson of Claremore, OK, Christine Murrill of Las Vegas, NV, Haleigh Robison of Broken Arrow, OK, James Thomas Moffitt of Portland, OR, Donna Jones of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Jones of Wister, OK, James Jones of Baskersfield, CA, Charles Kohel of Mount Airy, NC and Crystal Kohel of Mount Airy, NC; great-grandchildren: Alexander Gonzalez of Claremore, OK, Gabby Gonzalez of Claremore, OK, Benjamin Rodriguiz of Claremore, OK, Joe Rodriguez of Claremore, OK, Lili Murrill of Claremore, OK, James A.
