Patricia Mae Gouard


Funeral service for Patricia Gouard will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Rice Funeral Home.


Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery after the service.


Patricia passed away April 8, at Saint Francis Hospital at the age of 81.


The daughter and youngest of 10 kids to Bird and Doshia Mae Delp was born March 17, 1941 in Claremore, She attended Sequoyah High School where she graduated with the class of ’59. She later met Gerald Gouard and were married on February 28, 1967, they had two children Scott and Melissa, Gerald passed away in October of 1997.
Patricia worked for Southwestern Bell for a short time as an operator, then she managed the books for Gerald Gouard Construction, then co owned a convenient store called Hillcrest Deli in which she ran.


Patricia loved her grandkids and great grandkids and loved having them around, she enjoyed the Christmas’s and 4th of July’s with cookouts and fireworks, even though we did catch the hill on fire one year. She loved BBQ and Catfish, and keeping the road hot running to Wal-Mart, one of the neighbors said you knew it was close to 11 a.m. because she would drive by to check her mail and go to town every day.


Patricia is preceded in death by her parents Bird and Doshia Delp, husband Gerald Gouard, sisters, Golda Sellmeyer, Ruth Howard Bowman, Fannie Cross, Deloris Gable, Thelma Carriger, Helen Bell and brothers Bill, Allen and George Delp.


Patricia is survived by her son Scott Gouard, daughter Melissa Gouard White and her husband R.C., grandson Taylor Gouard, and granddaughter Mikayla White and five great great grandchildren, Zaden, Kaylen, Aubri, Stormi, Mila, and numerous nieces and nephews.
