Miron Virginia Davis

Virginia was born on August 13, 1928 to Valle and Nada Williams in Phoenix, AZ. Her family lived in several cities across the country during the depression and WWII. She attended 14 schools before graduating from Benton High School in Benton, AR in May 1947.  While attending High School, Virginia met and married Clifford Samuel (Sam) Davis on December 21, 1946. The couple lived in Arkansas until 1951 moving first to Ft Worth, TX, then Wichita, KS, before settling in Tulsa, OK where both found employment at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Company.  The couple also owned and operated Davis Grocery on Mingo Road in East Tulsa from 1962 to 1971. Virgina retired from Telex Corporation in 1991.

After retiring Sam and Virginia traveled all over the United States, rebuilt their home after the 1993 tornado and built a new home in Catoosa, OK where they enjoyed gardening, their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sam and Virginia were members of the Lone Star Baptist Church, Coweta, OK

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Sam, who passed away in 2006 and her youngest son Roger Dale Davis in 1970.
