Lynn Arnold Kellehan of Claremore, Oklahoma passed on February 15, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. Lynn was born January 3, 1932 to Willie E. and Myrtle Beatrice Kellehan in Claremore.
After graduation from Sequoyah High School in 1949, he joined the US Army and proudly served his country. He served in the 92 Armored Field Artillery Battalion. He served from July 27, 1949 through September 13, 1952
In June 1950, Lynn shipped out from Fort Hood, Texas to South Korea to assist in the invasion of South Korea at Incheon. On September 15, 1950 he was assigned to the 7th Infantry Division. After a few weeks he was assigned to the 1st Marine Division to take to capital Seoul South Korea. In Pusan, he was assigned to the 10th Corps where he supported the United Nations until he rotated home in August 1951. During his service, he earned a Presidential Unit Citation.
Lynn married Joan Phariss on April 5, 1952. He continued his education at Oklahoma School of Accounting in Tulsa and Tulsa University. He moved to Grand Prairie, Texas and continued his education at Arlngton State University. In 1959, Lynn joined the academy where upon graduation he became a State Trooper with the Department of Public Safety.
Lynn and Joan raised three children in Texas; and, after 32 years of service as a trooper, retired and moved back to Oklahoma. He and Joan returned to the same property where he was born and raised.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willie Edward Kellehan, his mother, Myrtle Beatrice Kellehan, and brothers Gail Kellehan, Logan Kellehan and Sidney Kellehan. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joan Kellehan of Claremore, his son Lynn C. Kellehan of Claremore, Daughters Laura Kelchner of Houston, Tx and Lisa Foster of Claremore, Ok, Grandsons, Scott Foster II of Claremore, Travis Allen stationed in Okinawa, Japan; Tyler Allen of Dallas, Tx, Granddaughter, Heather Hash of Claremore, Ok and great grandsons Brayden Foster, Jackson Foster of Claremore and great granddauther Arya Allen in Okinawa, Japan
