Larry Max Cole was born to Lawrence and DeVita Cole on October 25, 1943, in Afton, Oklahoma. He was the middle son with an older brother, Dean, and a younger brother, Mark.
In 1956, they made their home in Foyil, Oklahoma, where he attended and graduated from Foyil Public School. He continued his education, first at Oklahoma Military Academy, and finished at NSU, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He began his long career with Cities Service Oil Company, where he retired many years later.
On June 18, 1965, he married Karen Rader, and while living in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, they were blessed with two daughters, Sheila and Angie. Years later Larry moved back to his hometown of Foyil with his two daughters where he resided until his passing. He attended Foyil Baptist Church throughout his life and taught Sunday School for many years.
Larry enjoyed reading his books, playing video games, and spending time with family. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach with family and friends. He was such a giving and compassionate soul. If anyone had a need, he was always willing to help. The best thing about Larry was his love for the Lord and the unconditional love he ALWAYS showed his family. We will miss his ornery, fun loving, beautiful self, and mourn for our loss as well as celebrating his reunion in Heaven.
Larry passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023. He is survived by his daughters Sheila (Cole) Bible and husband Keith of Foyil., and Angela (Cole) James and husband Mark of Claremore; brothers Dean Cole of Delhi, LA, and Mark Cole and wife Alice of Foyil; grandchildren, Brittany Brown and husband Lawrence, Clinton Bible and wife Sam, Aly Bickell and husband Lark, Joel Bible, Dakota James and wife Amber, Mallory (James) Clark and husband Andy; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
