Obituary

Kenneth Ray Teeter, 76, of Claremore, Oklahoma entered his eternal Heavenly home on Sunday, October 31, 2021. He was born June 17, 1945, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Virgil and Lucille (Scaff) Teeter.
Kenneth grew up in the Paoli, OK area where he attended Paoli Public Schools and graduated from High School there in 1963. It was in 1964 that he met Leona Genn at a church service in Davis, OK and they were married 6 months later on April 3, 1965 in Paoli, OK. They were happily married for 56 years.
When they married, he was employed at Fields Pecan Pies in Pauls Valley, OK as a dishwasher and later became a traveling salesman for them visiting many stores within the Oklahoma and Texas areas. Kenneth and Leona welcomed their first child Deana during this time of their lives. Later they moved to White Settlement, TX and he began working at General Dynamics where he installed the fuel lines into the fuel tanks of Air Force F-111A fighter jets. While still living in Texas their second child Pauleta was born. After several different jobs and the birth of their third child Kenvir he returned to work at Fields Pecan Pies.
In 1982 he began working at Centrilift (now known as Baker Hughes) in Pauls Valley, OK delivering various kinds of equipment to oil well sites. He then transferred with Centrilift to Claremore, OK in 1985 where he was a Motor Oil Pump assembler. After working there for 21 years he retired in 2003. After retirement they lived a few years in Ardmore, OK in Leona’s childhood home before settling back in Claremore.
Throughout out all these years he was a faithful member of several United Pentecostal Churches and was currently a member of Westwood Church in Claremore. He physically helped build three church buildings. Even though he always said he was a “jack of all trades and a master of none” he was always willing to try to fix whatever needed to be fixed at any of these churches.
Throughout the years his love for his family was unwavering. He always cherished his family and thought they were the most special people there was.
