Obituary

Kenneth David Skidmore was called to his heavenly home on December 28, 2020. Ken was born May 20, 1939 in Springfield, Missouri to Patrick and Esther Skidmore.
Ken received his Bachelor Degree in Theology from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He was a veteran who served honorably in the US Army.
Ken studied radiologic technology at City of Hope In Duarte, California. Upon graduation he received the highest score in his class on the State licensing exam. He worked in that field in Los
Angeles, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, Tallahassee, Florida and Claremore, Oklahoma where he retired as Chief Radiological Technologist.
Ken left behind his three broken-hearted girls - his wife of 57 years, Margaret, his loving daughter, Gabrielle and his beloved grandaughter, Lauren. He is also missed by his son, Randy Will, his brother, Joey and wife Carolyn, sister Karen and husband Joe, sister Ruth, nieces and nephew, and Garik Severson, fiancee of Lauren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul, and sister Patricia.
Ken was blessed with a rich tenor voice. He sang and led music for many churches and Christian organizations over the years. At the time of his passing he was a member of OUMC choir and Harmony Trio. He loved and taught the members of an OUMC adult Sunday school class.
Ken also sang in the Claremore Community Chorus for many years. He was a long-time cast member of the Claremore Gridiron and performed in many Claremore theatre productions. He, along with the Trio, sang at various nursing homes. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and organ
In spite of his many serious illnesses, Ken never complained, was always cheerful and positive, and always cultivated and maintained his relationship with his Lord. Ken will be sorely missed by his family and friends until we all meet again
