Kenneth Ray Grubbs of Chouteau, OK. passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the age of 78.

The son of Charles and Lucy (Retherford) Grubbs was born on August 29, 1941, in Harrison, Ohio. He and his family relocated to Claremore when he was around 13 years old. After Kenny completed his high school eduction, he enrolled in the Army National Guard in August 1961. In the service, he trained soldiers how to shoot. Earning the rank of Staff Sergeant E-6, his service ended in May 1966 with an Accommodation for Marksmanship.

Later he would go on to make a life profession of managing grocery stores where he was well known for impeccable customer service. His smile, friendliness, and caring attitude toward everyone he met earned him many lifelong local friendships. In his spare time, he loved to ride motorcycles, fish, and tinker on things in his shop. To all that knew him, he was known as an avid NASCAR enthusiast and loved to collect race car memorabilia. Kenny was also an avid country music lover and was known to break into a dance if he heard a song he loved.

Survivors include his wife: Peggy of the home; son: Brad Grubbs and wife, RaeNita; daughters: Nichole Moore and husband Daniel, and Mary Summers; siblings: Chuck Grubbs, and Linda Leonard and husband Johnny; grandchildren: Flint Grubbs and wife Breanna, Hawken Grubbs and wife Rachel, Amanda Grubbs, Madison Grubbs, Ryan Moore, Jake Moore, and Ella Moore; ten (1010) great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents; son: Mark Grubbs; and sisters: Mickey Brassfield and Judy Woods.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Rice Funeral Service.

Funeral service for Kenneth Ray Grubbs will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Rice Funeral Service located at 631 E. Will Rogers Blvd. in Claremore.

Repast will be held directly after services, at the home of Brad and RaeNita, located at 21566 South 4170 Road, Claremore.
