Katherine was born January 19, 1941 on a plantation farm just outside Roanoke Virginia. She grew up in Roanoke, later came to Oklahoma, and settled in Tulsa area where she met Charles. Katherine and Charles were wed on May 15, 1965 in the home of his mother and father, Andy and Ruby Andrew of Tulsa. Charles and Katherine resided for many years in Tulsa then moved their family to Claremore. She had a career in banking, it was when she settled in Claremore that she became a registered nurse of 15 years. Katherine dedicated her life to being a wife to Charles and a mother to her children. She loved her grandchildren even more. She had a great admiration for flowers and enjoyed working out in the yard. Her most favorite past-time was visiting Ruby and Andy at their Lakefront house on Lake Hudson, where they would often go boating, skiing, and fishing. A little something no one knows about Katherine, a World War II Veteran who was a Dust Cropper in the county, taught Katherine how to fly a Piper plane. She flew solo in 8 hours and received her Aviator's license.
Katherine was beautiful to her Charles. We all loved her dearly.
Katherine is survived by her husband Charles Bolin; children: Elizabeth Bolin and Michelle Taylor; grandchildren: Austin D. Taylor and Ashley M. Taylor.
