Obituary
Julia Faye Short, 79, of Claremore passed from this life on February 28, 2023. Julia was born on May 8, 1943 to Amos Hutson and Eunice Wilemon in Bristow, OK. She moved to California for a short time and back to Bristow in 1954. Julia then married and moved to Claremore to raise her children.
Julia enjoyed reading novels and crocheting while watching her favorite westerns. She was always up for a new adventure. She loved baking, specifically her cinnamon rolls. Those who knew her, knew how much she liked to spoil her grandchildren and puppy dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her baby sister, Katherine.
She is survived by her children; son, Tommy Buchanan and wife Mary-Anne of Chelsea; daughter, Debra Denice Nichols and husband Bobby of Foyil; son, Allen Buchanan and wife Amee of Claremore; daughter Melinda Alvarado of Tulsa; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; brother, John and Judy Hutson of Oklahoma City. She will be greatly missed.
