John Edward LeFay III, age 49, of Claremore Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023. He was born October 29, 1973, to John Edward LeFay, Jr. and Virginia Dean (Goins) LeFay, in Pryor, Oklahoma.
John will be remembered for many things: his love for playing jokes, his love for anything OU, being a hard worker, and most of all, his love for his family. You never knew what kind of joke he would tell, and you could count on him to make you laugh. You knew on gameday, he would be cheering on his Sooners, no matter what sport it was. His hard work was reflected in his induction into the Million Mile Club for CFI. Driving one million miles for one company is not an easy feat and requires dedication as well as hard work. But his family, that was his true passion. He was known for being a momma’s boy, and his brother and sister were his best friends. He was a devoted husband and his daughters; they were his pride and joy. He could always be counted on to be there for his family when he was needed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Peggy LeFay, Sr., and Eldee and J.C. Goins; aunt, Peachy Cotrill; uncle Robert Goins; and cousin, Robbie Goins.
Left behind to cherish John’s memory are wife, Jolene Hoffman-LeFay; daughters, Emily and Shelby LeFay of Pryor, Kaedence LeFay of the home, and Cody Patton of Pryor; parents, John LeFay, Jr. of Broken Arrow, and Virginia LeFay of Pryor; brother, Matt LeFay and wife Cyndee of Miami; sister Morgan Knott and husband Kyle of Pryor; as well as several nieces, nephews, 1 great niece, and 1 great nephew.
