Jimmy Lee Willis was born March 8, 1938, in Vera, Oklahoma to Arvela Willis & Atlie (Mize) Willis.

The sum of Jimmy's life was traveling. He did it all his life all over the United States. Always on the move.

He built probably over 200 homes all over northeast Oklahoma and later in life was a long distance driver from coast to coast. Jimmy could drive and drive. He supported his family in high school because his dad was in quarantine for tuberculosis. He was beloved by all his brothers and sisters.

He helped many people get into homes that otherwise could not get a home. And he taught with a toughness that came out of the depression era. But he always loved when his babies were born. He excelled in all sports all through school was a Locust Grove basketball star. He loved talking about his years in sports. He had a smile and a story to tell. Made friends very easily and loved to talk. He could remember almost everyone he met. He will be greatly missed.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Ernest Willis and Robert Willis; and four sisters: Pauline Willis, Lucille Blankenship, Lorene Cherry, and Barbara Rowbotham.

Jimmy is survived by his four children Cheryl and Don Daily of Sulphur, OK, Jimmy and Cindy Willis of Catoosa, OK, Lea Ellen and Russ Morrow of Catoosa, OK, and Angela and Jeff Ennis of Catoosa, OK; ten grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren; one sister, Norma Young; and the mother of his children, and prior wife: Betsy Willis.
