Jerry Wayne Draper


Jerry Wayne Draper, 52, passed away from natural causes at home in Claremore, Oklahoma on June 7, 2020. He was born on October 5, 1967 in Claremore to David and Caroline Draper.

An avid lover of airplanes, Jerry retired from a successful twenty-year career at American Airlines. He was creative, and he enjoyed painting and decorating his parent’s house for Christmas. He was loved by all he crossed paths with. He had an infectious personality and quick wit. Jerry loved to make people laugh, and he made friends with all he met. He loved the family pets, and he was always helping his neighbors. He loved being “Papa” and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters Tabitha Smith, Rebecka (Kris) Owens, Brittany (Brady) May, and Amber (Tyler) Rogers; grandchildren Brittany, Athyna, and Theseus Valdez, Jonathan, Aisley, and Emmit Owens, and Laura Rogers. He leaves behind his parents David and Caroline Draper; brothers Troy (Sara) Draper and Tommy Draper; nieces Kaitlyn Birkhead and Shelbie, Elizabeth, Emily, Natalie, and Addisyn Draper. He is preceded in death by grandparents Orville and Johnnie Reed, and Bill and Etta Draper.

A viewing will be held at Rice Funeral Services on Wednesday June 10, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM, and a funeral service will be held on Thursday June 11, 2020 at 2 PM at the funeral home.
