Harlan Guy Burris, age 67, was born in Afton, Oklahoma on February 12, 1953 to Bobby Jane Beamer-Burris and Harold (Huck) Lloyd Burris. Guy passed away on January 8, 2021. Guy was raised in Arkansas City, Kansas where he completed his education and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1972. He attended Haskell Indian Nations Junior College and trade school where he learned to weld. In his later life, he attended Greenhill Baptist Church and dedicated his life to Jesus Christ. In 1986, he began to attend Emmanuel Indian Baptist Church and work for Claremore Indian Hospital. He would retire in 2018, serving 32 years at Claremore Indian Hospital. Guy enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He loved to travel to pow-wows to visit with friends and loved ones. He enjoyed supporting his children, many nieces and nephews in their accomplishments and athletic activities. He would soon continue to support his many grandchildren in their similar activities. Guy is proceeded in death by his: parents Bobby Jane Beamer-Burris and Harold Lloyd Burris, his twin Gene Burris, little brother Gerald Burris, sister-in-laws Eleanor and Gladys Burris and uncle Bob Burris. He is survived by his wife Pamela McClelland of Claremore, Oklahoma. His children: Tisha Leann Burris of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jason Burris of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Bradley and wife Jesse Longhorn of Norman, Oklahoma, Colleen and husband Zachary Butler of Meeker, Oklahoma, Brent and wife Marya Longhorn of Vinita, Oklahoma and his youngest daughter Clarissa and husband Jacob Jones of Claremore, Oklahoma. His brothers Gary Burris of Eufaula, Oklahoma and John Burris of Mustang, Oklahoma. His first GREAT-grandson Mekko Malcom and grandchildren: Selah Mae Rice, Patience Bruce Longhorn, Lucky Longhorn, Ashley Longhorn, Audrey Longhorn, Matthew Butler, Brandon Butler, Breanna Butler, Zachary Butler Jr., Sunnie Longhorn, Brody Longhorn, Skylar Longhorn, Emmett Jones, Emery Jones, Edmond Harlan Duane Jones, Annalea Eslick, Cordell Burris, Alexis Burris, Tennyson Burris, Teska Burris, Jaylynn Burris, Jack Burris, Melanie Burris, Levi Burris, Solomon Burris, Terri Bates, Toney Gibson, Johnathan Gibson, Jaylan Gibson, Jaysan Gibson, Baby Jeremy Gibson, Jonavon Tarbell, Stailee Heard, Tyla Heard, Bronnsun Heard, Good Warrior Deer, Grant Deer, R.J. Deer and countless other family members. His grandchildren were the center of his world. His memory will forever be cherished by all that knew him.
