Glenda Arlene Fugate, 84, of Claremore went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2021.
She was born on November 6, 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Glenn and Florence (King) Bottenfield.
She graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1954 then went on to teach at the Business College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later she became an accounting clerk for the oil and gas industry where she worked for most of her career. After leaving, she earned her real estate license and worked as an agent until she retired.
She married Paul Fugate on November 21, 1959 and together they had two daughters.
She loved cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and enjoyed watching her girls in the various school/sporting events as they were growing up.
Arlene was a good Christian woman, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was strong, loving, smart, and feisty. Above all, she loved God and her family. With a lot of great memories left behind, she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, Paula (Fugate) Morehead of Claremore, Oklahoma, Tracy (Fugate) Myers and husband, Troy Myers of Naperville, Illinois.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Florence (King) Bottenfield and her husband, Paul Fugate.
She did not wish to have a formal funeral service. Her asjes will be laid to rest at Floral HAven in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
