Gary Allen Heskett

Gary Allen Heskett passed away on May 14, 2023, he was 89 years old.  Gary was born to John Franklin and Virginia May Heskett in Council Bluffs, Iowa on June 25, 1933.  Gary grew up in California until the age of 21 and then they moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma.  Gary enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War.  He graduated from the Ordnance Specialist Course at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, Maryland as a certified welder.  Gary worked as a welder until his retirement.

Gary married Diane Anderson on July 29,1991 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  They resided in the Claremore area until he moved into the Claremore Veterans Center in 2019. 

Some of his hobbies he loved were mowing, watching Fox News, Westerns, playing bingo, watching Thunder Basketball and OU Football.  He also loved raising grey hounds and going to grey hound races with his dad and brother Darrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents John Franklin and Virginia May Heskett, brother Frank Heskett, Jr., son, Kenny Heskett, and his stepdaughter Janet Shulanberger.

Gary is survived by his wife Diane Heskett, son Jack Heskett and wife Tammy, daughter Gara Huston and husband Bill, stepdaughter Tania Van Riper, brother Darrell Heskett and wife Kay.  Gary has nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
