Sunday, March 21st 2021, longtime Claremore resident, Dorothy Brannan, passed away peacefully at home. Dorothy was born February 6, 1934, to Charles Vernon and Flossie (Phillips) Bryant, in Fairland, Oklahoma.
Dorothy married the love of her life, Harold Wayne Brannan, May 12th, 1955 in Fairland, Oklahoma. She went into full time ministry, being a pastor's wife, for 41 1/2 years. She put her entire heart into it.
She loved quilting, redbirds, cardinals, and flowers. She could bake the best pecan pie.
Dot, as she is fondly called, will be dearly missed by her loving, devoted husband Harold Brannan of the home; son Michael Wayne Brannan and wife Cathy; grandson Jeremy Brannan and wife Kristen; great-granddaughter Evelyn "Evie" Grace Brannan; brother James Bryant and wife, Barbara; sister Junie Whitely, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Flossie Bryant; son Danny Ray Brannan; sisters Thelma Koger and Sharon Pathkiller and brother Ellis Ray Bryant.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 26th, 2021, at the Rice Funeral Service Chapel.
Interment will immediately follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
