Obituary

Donald Roy Deaver was born on June 18th, 1933, in Wichita, Kansas, to Clarence and Purna Deaver. Don attended school in Wichita, then joined the Army in 1953. He served overseas during the Korean War, stationed in Korea, Okinawa, Iwo Jima, and Germany. He married the love of his life Beulah Faye Harris, on October 5th, 1958, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. They started their lives in Fort Dix, New Jersey, where Clinton was born in 1959. They moved to Wichita, Kansas after he left the service. In 1961, Janice was born. They moved to Claremore, Oklahoma in 1971, where Patrick was born in 1976 . Don enjoyed woodworking, fishing, boating, and hunting. His wife always came first. He loved and cherished his family. He loved adventure and even went skydiving at the age of 79. He and Beulah opened their home to numerous nieces and nephews. They spent countless hours making sure their home was always ready, food was stocked, and the pool was open for the kids, grandkids, and friends. He loved working and retired from the Teamsters after 36 years. He continued working, even after retirement.


Don is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Purna Deaver; siblings Emma, Rudean, Ruth, and Bobby; son-in-law, Steve Hause; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and one great-grandson.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife Beulah of over 63 years; children Clinton and wife Sandy, Janice, Patrick, Mark and unofficially adopted son Vince Crouch and wife Gina; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.


He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
