Cortez White was born April 2, 1954 to Audra White and William McKinley White. He grew up in Claremore, Oklahoma and attended Claremore Public Schools and graduated from Claremore High School in 1972. Cortez went on to further his education at Oklahoma University for journalism and graduated from NSU in Tahlequah, Oklahoma with a Bachelors degree. Cortez was an FFA member and was awarded an honorary degree.
He loved playing the piano which was a beautiful talent he shared with the church and many friends. Cortez was well known in Claremore and will definitely be missed by an abundance of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by Audra White (mother) William McKinley white (father) Randolph Scott White (brother) James Clarence White (brother) Jerry Lee Edward White (brother) William McKinley White Jr. (brother) Ronald Lee Johnson (brother-in-law) Floyd Grimett (brother-in-law) Essie Reeves (confidante) and Corrine White (sis-in-law)
He leaves behind his brother Roshan White, his sisters Vanilla Lee Johnson, Dorothy Lee Grimett, Bernice White and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and an abundance of cousins and friends.
