Chester “Chet” Walton Carter, 34, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed into the presence of his Lord on Monday, November 14, 2022.
Chester was born on September 3, 1988 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Theodore and Jo Anna (Michener) Carter. He graduated from Verdigris High School in 2008, and continued to be involved there for many years taking photographs of sporting events. He met Kristin in 2016 and they married the next year in 2017 at his childhood church, Hilldale Baptist.
Chester loved the Lord, his family, animals, photography, fishing, Star Wars, and everything science fiction. He was a survivor of Leukemia as a child and had a deep appreciation for the value of life, and spending quality time with those he loved.
He leaves behind his wife, Kristin, and their two foster daughters; his father, Theodore Carter; sister, Stephanie Wiseman (Amy) and her sons Aaron and Evan (Alexandra); sister, Candice Stinson (Justin) and their daughters Shayla and Olivia, as well as numerous other family and friends.
He is preceded by his mother, Jo Anna Carter; grandparents, Mary and Bill Stephens, Chester “Bud” Michener, Willard “Walt” and Inez Carter, and Juanita Madrid; aunts, Donna Steffens and Linda Parrish; uncle, Tony Michener; among others.
Visitation will be Thursday November 17 from 4-5 PM for family, and 5-7 PM for the public at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore.
Funeral services will be held at Hilldale Baptist Church in Claremore on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10 AM.
