Charles Morgan O'Dell was born March 19, 1931 in Van Buren, Missouri to his parents, Charles O'Dell and Lillie (Spratley) O'Dell and went to his heavenly home on October 20, 2020 at the age of 89. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Paula O'Dell of the home and three children - Sareta Carmody (and husband Gary), Michael O'Dell (and wife Joyce) and Diana Ottinger (and husband Michael) - all of Claremore. Charles has three grandchildren - Brian O'Dell (and wife Stacy) of Claremore, Lauren Camber (and husband Shawn) of Claremore and Danielle Ottinger of Tulsa. Additionally, he was a Great Grandfather to Sawyere O'Dell, Lincoln O'Dell, Ryker O'Dell and Irelynn Camber - all of Claremore.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and his first son, Charles Morgan O'Dell Jr. (Thumper). He graduated from Van Buren, Missouri high school in 1949 and served four years in the US Navy. After returning from his service, he began a 35 year career with American Airlines in Tulsa. Charles was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Verdigris for over 30 years. He was a very talented wood worker and used his skills to build many things for the church, friends, and family. Some of his hobbies included hunting, gardening and baking - he was especially well known for his coconut cream pie and loved sharing his garden's bounty.
