Charles Edward Anderson

Charles Edward Anderson of Claremore, OK stepped into Heaven on February 15th, 2023.

Chuck was born April 26, 1936, in the Bronx, New York to Mabel and Link Anderson. He graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School. Chuck met and later married his one and only love, Grace McTigue. Before Grace's passing in 2010, they celebrated 53 years of marriage. He retired from American Airlines/Sabre as a computer programmer in 1999 after more than 35 years of service. He wanted to be sure he retired before the Y2K computer collapse.

Chuck was a faithful member of the Catholic Church, Saint Cecilia’s in Claremore, OK. He was an avid member of the Elks, Lions Club, the Model T Train Club in Claremore, and projects that Grace would be involved in with the Red Cross.

In his quiet way, he was a loving man. He enjoyed working on detailed projects and helping other people with theirs. He loved working around his home and yard, going to family functions, and watching Judge Judy.

In his quirky way, he lived his life on his terms. He had a caring compassionate heart. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Grace, infant daughter, Wendy, and infant great granddaughter, Ambre.

Charles is survived by his children, Sue and George Oats, Colleen and Dennis Smith, Chris and Randy Scott, grandchildren, Sean Oats, Teresa Sikorski, Ryan and Ashlee Scott, Cassie and Patrick Oats/White, Zachary and Kinnidy Abitz, Garrott Scott, and Parker Russell, sister, Patricia Bender, great grandchildren Addison Scott, Ryder Scott, and Kelvin Abitz, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 with a viewing at 11:00am-12:00pm and Mass at 1:00pm at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Claremore, OK.
