Bruce Allen Rogers of Claremore, Oklahoma passed from this ife on April 12th, 2021 at 50 years of age. He was born on November 22nd,1970 in Claremore Oklahoma to Charles “Buddy” and Kay Rogers.
Bruce spent his life Claremore, with the exception of time spent in college. He graduated from Claremore High School in 1989 and later graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma. He married Angie (Hinds) Rogers on January 2, 1993 and two daughters (Ashley and Brittany) were born of the marriage; they were the joy of his life. It was at UCO where he discovered his passion in life was teaching, he soon returned to Claremore to teach at the Alternative Learning program.
Bruce loved spending time with his family and was dedicated to his faith. Throughout his time on this earth, he touched many lives through his teaching, faith and his enduring love. Bruce was the glue of the family and enjoyed hosting large family gatherings to bring everyone together. His biggest hope was that his family would always be close.
Bruce was an avid debater, fact checker and a competitive trivia buff. He loved music from the 1980’s and created his own 80’s music trivia game. Some of Bruce’s favorite days included a fishing pole, his family and good food. Always the educator, his family learned that if they asked a question that Bruce’s response would likely be a long-winded history lesson. He enjoyed challenging others to look at different viewpoints.
Bruce is survived by his wife Angie Rogers; his daughters, Ashley and Brittany; mother and stepfather, Kay & John Barello of Claremore; siblings Mike Rogers and wife Nele of Norman; Lisa Rogers-Hewitt and husband Steve Hewitt of Claremore; and Paul Rogers and wife Chelene of Claremore; lifelong friends Brian and wife Tatum Caldwell of Claremore; Grandmother Roberta Bennett of Claremore; Aunts Nancy Brashers and husband Bob of Claremore, Jean Murphy and Jan Barton and husband John; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews that he adored and numerous cousins. Bruce believed in relationships and there were many students that benefited from his mentorship over the years.
He is preceded in death by his father Buddy Rogers; grandparents C.T. & Ethel Rogers and Rolland Bennett.
