Beverly June Newcomb was born on May 31st, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan to Richard and Clarabell Wools. She passed from this life on October 20th, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
Beverly loved to travel. She was an artist and taught oil painting. She enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets, had multiple antique booths, and sold items on ebay. She liked singing and music and had an insatiable sweet tooth. Most of all she loved her children and grandchildren. Beverly lived 8 years at the Claremore Nursing Home where the staff was considered family.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband; Don Newcomb, parents; Richard and Clarabell Wools, brother; Franklin (Freddie) Wools, brother Richard (Dickie) Wools, sister; Betty Vass and daughter; Terry Leedy.
Left behind to cherish her memory are sisters; Thelma Moreland, Diane Paaske, and Delores Wools, daughter; Victoria Troxell and friend Britni Troglin of Broken Arrow, daughter Pam and husband Eddie Oelenberger of Statesville, North Carolina, daughter Michelle and husband Kent Reading of Oologah, daughter Jan Wilson of Claremore, daughter Linda Hendricks of Waco, Texas, grandchildren; Tina Alexander, Bryan Leedy , Ryan Oelenberger, Jordan Oelenberger, Dakota Reading, Dillon Reading, Jeff Hendricks, great-grandchildren; Dylan Alexander, Nick Alexander, Asher Alexander, Kolden Oelenberger, Reid Oelenberger and Cooper Reading as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pastor Rick Burk will be officiating the service. The pallbearers will be Kent Reading, Eddie Oelenberger, Dakota and Dillon Reading, with the honorary pallbearers being Ryan and Jordan Oelenberger.
Services will be held at Rice Funeral Service Chapel Friday the 23rd at 10am.
