Bettie Jean Key was born on July 6th, 1943 in Tiawah, Oklahoma to Robert (Shorty) and Leona Hilbert. She passed from this life on December 23rd, 2020. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting. In her early days she worked at a dairy farm as well as in the oilfields with her dad. Bettie met Charlie while working with her dad drilling an oil well, covered in grease and dirt. Later in life Bettie had three children. She ran a home daycare and loved her chickens.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Leona Hilbert, brother; Bill Hilbert, brother; Carl Hilbert, husband; Charles Key and grandson; Stephen Key.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Charles Earl Key Jr. (Chuck) of Catoosa, daughter Lova Leona England (Lou) and husband Bryan England of Bixby, son: Walter William Key of Claremore, grandkids Alexis Hope Richardson and husband Dustin Richardson of Douglas, Kansas, grandkids; Elizabeth Margarette England (Lizzie) of Bixby, Cody Wayne England of Bixby, Nathan Ty England (Nate) of Bixby, sibling Ruth Ann Walker of Sanuarita, Arizona, Louise Riley and spouse Wayne of Tiawah, Wanda Tennyson and spouse Burt of Tiawah, JoAnn Hudson of Sacramento, California, Shirley Strickland and spouse Terry of Claremore, Edna Benzel of Claremore, Darrell Hilbert of Tiawah as well as many, many nieces and nephews.
