Friends may visit at the funeral home from noon to 8:00 on Wed. with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00. Buster passed away Sun., July 22, 2012 at the age of 52.
Buster was born in Claremore on March 3, 1960 to Roy Buster, Sr. and Patricia (Mitchell) Malone and graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and was working on his doctorate. He also attended Clown College, where he formed life-long friendships with like-minded individuals who were known as Clowns Around Tulsy Town. Buster’s paying job was as a contractor, but he was also an ordained minister and additionally devoted countless hours to volunteer work at the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #185 specifically, for several years.
Buster’s faith was deep, strong, based on God’s Word and nurtured with prayer. His kindness, light-heart and good cheer lifted spirits and brightened lives. A dedicated Dad and “Grandpa-nator,” he was equally solicitous of his mother, daily checking on her welfare.
Leaving a legacy of infectious laughter and unconditional love, Buster is survived by his children, Katie Hall and husband, Ryan, of Tulsa, Elizabeth Malone of Tulsa and Michael Malone of Stillwater; his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Malone; his parents Patricia and Reginald Collins; life-time friends, Don Vance, and Mark Derryberry; his siblings, Sherry Malone and family of Tulsa, Danny Malone and wife, Chris, and family of Rogers, AR, Christie Pilsl and husband, Karl, of Vienna, Austria, Todd Collins and wife, Suzie of Verdigris and Gina Donohue and husband, Steve, of Carlsbad, CA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his nephew, Solomon Pilsl, cousin Steve Turner, and aunt Betty Turner.
